Wine Carts

Picking Wine Carts

Wine collecting is a very old hobby. Most affluent families in the past thought that it was very important to have a decent wine collection as it represented certain sophistication, and a sense of prosperity. However, these days, wine collecting is done most commonly for the taste. That is, most people collect wines because they go well with the food they prefer. But wine collecting is not just about having a nice collection of wines. It is about preserving these wines so that they taste the best that they can. It means storing them in really good wine carts and wine racking. It means keeping them at view so people would know that they are in a house of wine aficionados. In a nutshell, it is about the lifestyle of having wines, knowing how to care for them, and being proud that you know your poison of choice.

This is why, for most wine enthusiasts, the task of choosing the best storage device is not that simple. The truth is, the number of choices available in the market is too overwhelming. One may choose to purchase wine carts, while other may choose to purchase fridges, or maybe even a gorgeous dwc2727bls, or a dwc1534bls. But when it all boils down, the key here is choosing the right one for your needs.

Let us illustrate. For a person who truly loves his wine collection, it may be tempting to install a complete wine racking fixture on one’s kitchen wall. Or, one may be tempted to actually transform the underside of his kitchen countertop into a wine rack in itself. However, for somebody who is always on the go, is into trading spaces, or for one who simply enjoys redecorating or re-designing a room, wine carts, are the best storage solutions for that wine-bottle collection. So how does one pick the perfect wine cart? Here are some of the ways:

1. Convenience:
The reason why many wine aficionados purchase wine carts instead of installing a wine rack in their space is for convenience. When purchasing a wine cart, make sure that the wheels are functioning well, and that the size of the wine cart is enough for your wine collection. Having a mobile wine rack (the wine cart) that cannot actually hold all of your wines, defeats the purpose of convenience.

2. Versatility: Your wine cart must be able to hold more than just your wines. It must have compartments for your stemware, for example, and maybe even an open bottle.

3. Finish: Your wine carts look must be versatile enough to blend with any part of your home that you might place it in. Ensure that the finish of the wine cart is appropriate for your space.
